A rare intersection in the Sullivans Cove catalogue: Old & Rare French Oak ex-Tawny, bottled at cask strength. 17 Year Old 'Old & Rare' French Oak ex-Tawny Single Cask TD0297 was filled in July of 2008 and decanted in October of 2025 for a maturation of 17 years, 3 months. After such a long maturation, this 300L French oak cask yielded only 343 bottles at cask strength of 61.3% ABV.

Boasting a depth and refinement that can only come with age, our Old & Rare French Oak single casks are matured for a minimum of sixteen years in French oak casks previously used to age Australian tawny port-style fortified wine. Aside from the notes of juicy dark fruits, chocolate, spice, nuts and earthy herbal nuances, these single casks display incredible complexity and length of palate.
Each bottle comes in a unique, hand made, solid oak presentation box, and includes a letter from our Distillery Manager, Heather Tillott.
